I think what made it easiest for me transitioning to not working is that we never lived off of my salary when I was working. My salary went straight into savings so we never changed our quality of life by spending my income. When we moved, we moved into a less expensive house and put a lot of money down on it, so our mortgage payments are less than most apartment rentals. I think that's what has allowed up to transition to me staying at home without too much stress. Now I just try to coupon and be selective with what I'm spending our money on so that we can still support companies we believe in and live with as few chemicals as possible! I hope this is helpful!

I admire your diligence to stay the course with healthy living on a budget. I struggle so much in this area. Do you mind sharing your journey while living on a tight(er) budget while being home with your son? I've been working with my son, and it's so much more stressful. I'd love to be home, but I am so afraid of not having that cushion to fall back on! Any advice?

Have you tried www.couponmom.com? It's like the grocery game but FREE. It doesn't have all the color coded bells and whistles but um...it's FREE. I don't know about the grocery store you named but I would go check it out. You can also sign up for e-mails when the deals in your area change. I have found it to be very helpful! She even has a Free book download all about couponing and saving money at the store.

The past couple weeks I've gone to HEB, Earth's Best has been on sale for $.70 a jar! And then I had those two coupons! I feel like I should have stocked up!!

I'll have to remember that Target has the best selection of Earth's Best - thanks for the tip!

Target has the best selection of the Earths Best foods. Lucca won;t eat anything but those and Sprout ... Sprout website offers cases of food (15 packs for $20 ish) .. but HEB has them for $.99 each so that makes no sense to me. Thanks for the coupon info... we are trying too. Baby makes BUDGET CRAZY!

Yeah, no Winn Dixie or Publix in Austin. . . although I wonder if there is an Austin blogger that does something similar? I'll have to check around for that! Thanks for the idea!

Thank you SOOOOOOO much for sharing the Horizon coupons. I just recently started buying Horizon milk, and now I don't want to buy anything else, but it is expensive.

I don't know if you shop (or have in your area) Winn Dixie or Publix, but Sarah at Fiddledeedeemom Blog posts organic deals for both those stores once a week at http://fiddledeedeemom.com/.

I love couponing too. You might want to check out the forums at Hot Coupon World (hotcouponworld.com). Those ladies know a lot about coupons. Also the resources page there has lots of links to coupons. Good luck!
