We’re back!

The first vacation away from our little man was a wild success! He had a blast with Grandma and Grandpa, and we had a blast with our friends in a new city. We enjoyed getting to explore Cincinnati and find some of the things that make it unique. We love hunting out the local flavor of a city, that is for sure!

We were surprised at how small Cincy felt. We kept getting thrown off by the scale of the city and missing our turns! It is a varied city, with wealthy areas juxtaposed over very poor areas, eclectic with the familiar, common with the unique. All in all, our first experience in the midwest was a success.

I’m still sorting out some of the pictures and some of the stories to tell (oh, and there is certainly a story to share – at my expense of course) so expect to hear a little more about our adventures, as well as some of the great places that we ate and visited.

Hope everyone had a happy Labor Day and enjoyed their time off!

So glad it was a nice trip! I kept seeing your updates on Facebook and was thinking, “wow, they are sure busy!” Your next trip to the Midwest should be Chicago!! :-)
