Every year I don’t know what to do with all the Christmas cards that we receive. I used to set them all up on the table behind our sofa, but Jude takes great delight in knocking everything down that sits on that table. So I set out looking for an inexpensive way to display our Christmas (and my birthday) cards and found this little dandy from (who else?) Martha Stewart. It’s just an embroidery hoop and some mini clothes pins! I love it!

And just to make our house a little more festive on a budget, I used some of the leftover fabric from our Christmas stockings and made some bunting!

I don’t know why I haven’t made more bunting for other special occasions. It’s so festive and fun!

I didn’t follow a tutorial for this but it was really pretty simple. I made a template of the shape of the bunting, cut out the fabric. Sewed each piece right sides together, turned, pressed, top stitched and used bias tape to connect it all together. Easy peasy.

And with that, I am done with making Christmas decorations until next year!

What have you made this Christmas season to decorate your home?

    Cute, cute.

I “started” a new wall hanging and pillow covers, but they aren’t finished since I needed to work on actual gifts instead. They will have to be finished up for next year’s use now. ;)
