About Me

I never know what to say in these areas so I’ll keep it short and sweet:

I grew up in Richardson, went to Plano East, and graduated from Texas A&M with a bachelors in Landscape Architecture in 2006. Married Jason, moved to Austin (which we LOVE!) and worked for a Landscape Architecture Firm until June of 2009 when my son, Jude, was born. I started this blog because I have a huge desire to share the things I experience in life, whether they are recipes, art, crafty endeavors, web design, sustainable living, or my thoughts on spirituality. The blog also helps me organize my thoughts and endeavors so that I can revisit them at any given point in my life.

I love Christ, my husband – Jason, my son – Jude, my family, my friends, my church, people, my cat- Malachi, the environment, sustainability, Austin, art, music, reading, cooking, eating, creativity, sewing, web design, good design, making homemade things, selflessness, simplicity, organization, the color green and innovative ideas.

If there’s something you’re wondering about me that I didn’t cover in my list of ‘loves’ then feel free to ask!

Elizabeth, I work for Dr. Matthew Sleeth, and I’m wondering if we could link to/post your blog entry about Serve God, Save the Planet. Let me know by e-mailing me at willsears@blessed-earth.org! We would love to hear from you and are glad you liked the book!

Hello! I just wanted to say thank you for putting together such a great blog! I normally never (this is my first time) write to bloggers I don’t know, but I relate so much to your interests … cooking, organizing, sewing (at least learning), learning to be more “green” and a lover of Christ. Even though I don’t know you .. congrats on your baby!!! I am a mother of three little boys (the oldest is 4) and must say that it is the greatest blessing ever.

Really liking your blog! I’m into photography, too and you can let your husband know that I really like his pictures! I’ll be back around to see what else you have hidden in here. :)

Thank you! We use a Canon 40D – my husband uses it more than I do, but I’m learning and using it more frequently these days! We use Aperature to process the photos.

Hi Elizabeth, Just stumbled upon your blog and will visit it often as I like your style and the way you think. Adorable baby, btw, and yes, Austin is wonderful. I haven’t been there in sometime, but hope to get back one day. I also love to see other Christians serving Him and helping to take care of our environment. Keep blogging and God bless. A fellow steward, mary
